For clients

Your therapist invited you to VibeCheck.luxury. Here is what it is.

A plain explanation, written for you rather than for them.

Quick answer: VibeCheck.luxury is something your therapist set up so the work does not stop when the session ends. You check in, write things down, and work on what the two of you agreed on. Your therapist sees patterns from the week before your next appointment. It is not a therapist, it is not a crisis service, and you are not being graded on it.
WHAT IT IS

Four things, plainly

A daily check-in

A short set of questions about how the week is actually going. Not a form, not an intake packet. It takes a minute.

Somewhere to put things down

Journaling, at 2am if that is when it lands. You do not have to hold it until Thursday.

The work you agreed on

Whatever your therapist sends over, you can do it inside the app with support rather than finding a worksheet in a bag on Wednesday.

Crisis resources, always on

988 and a text line are always reachable in the app, and a flag reaches a person. That is a floor, not the plan — in an emergency, call 988 or go to an emergency department.

WHAT IT IS NOT

The part worth being clear about

It is not your therapist. There is an AI companion in it, and your therapist set the rules it follows — what it can talk about, what it does when something sounds urgent, what comes back to them. It does not make clinical decisions and it does not pretend the relationship belongs to it. Your therapist is still the person doing the work with you.

It is not a test. Nobody is scoring your streak. If you use it three times in a month, your therapist learns something from that too.

It is not a crisis service. If you are in danger, call or text 988, or go to your nearest emergency department.

You did not buy it. Your therapist did — it is part of their practice, and there is nothing for you to pay here.

YOUR PRIVACY

Questions you are allowed to ask

You can ask your therapist exactly what they see, what the companion is permitted to discuss, what happens to what you write, and what would make it escalate to a person. Those are all reasonable questions and none of them are rude.

If you would rather not use it, say so. It is a tool your therapist offered, not a condition of working with them.

QUESTIONS

Questions you might have

Is this my therapist, or a chatbot?

Neither. It is a tool your therapist set up for you, with rules they wrote. The companion is not your therapist and does not pretend to be. Your therapist is still the person you work with.

Can my therapist read my journal?

Your therapist sees what the tool is set up to send them — patterns across the week, how check-ins are going, what homework you worked on. Ask them directly what they see and what they do not. It is a fair question and they should answer it plainly.

Do I have to use it every day?

No. It is there when it is useful. Skipping days does not break anything and it is not a score you are being graded on.

What if I am having a crisis?

Do not use this. Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency department. Crisis resources are always available inside the app and a flag reaches a person, but this is not a crisis service and it is not a substitute for emergency care.
ONE MORE THING

Ask your therapist. That is the whole answer.

They set this up, they wrote the rules it follows, and they can tell you exactly what they see. If anything here made you uneasy, that is a good thing to bring to your next session — it is the kind of thing the session is for.

In crisis right now? Call or text 988, or go to your nearest emergency department. VibeCheck.luxury is not a crisis service.
